Sustainabilty, OOTDs, 'The Flamingo' and 'Duckbutt'

OOH PERSONAL POST OOH. Thought i'd do more of such posts despite my life being boring as, i dunno, rabbits eating their poop.

I recently removed this snippet of information from my about page because it seemed irrelevant, but i study at the University of Melbourne and i like to think of the Melbourne Uni Campus as a pretty unique place, with all its centuries old architecture thrown in with modern buildings. And there're random little cafes scattered all about campus grounds, it's convenient for anyone to just drop in between classes to grab some nibbles or coffee/hot chocolate/matcha or chai latte non-coffee(if you're vehemently against coffee like me)/organic coffee made with beans handpicked by some well-paid ladies in a sustainable coffee plantation (if you're inclined towards hipsterism).

One of the new additions to the smattering of cafes/eateries is Crepes a la Carte, offering a delightful selection of sweet and savoury crepes.

It's a little pricey, if we're talking about converting to SGD, cause at 3.80 AUD for a lemon and sugar crepe, which also happens to be the cheapest on the menu, it would be about 4.50SGD. Pricing aside, the store is student maintained and one of its main aims is a business based on social and environmental conscience; It seems like a good enough cause for me, the crepes being delicious happens to be a major plus point.

Nutella ahoy!

Lately the weather's been getting more chilly but it isn't cold enough to break out the winter wardrobe yet so I've been doing a lot of layering and wearing heaps upon heaps of dark colours. Pretty sure this is due to some form of subconscious influence from Bryan and his ridiculously chic wardrobe. IT'S PROBABLY INCEPTION. or a subconscious desire to be equally fabulous.

Starting to wish i took a better picture of this.
Coat: Warehouse
Scarf: offbrand (MyeongDong, Seoul)
Long sleeved shirt: Country Road
Leggings: offbrand (bought in FarEastPlaza)
Shoes: offbrand (DongDaeMun, Seoul)
Bag: GMarket

I love these leggings mainly cause they look like pants and there's a nice mix of textures, with the leather and cloth. There's a massive piece of leather on the backside of this pair of leggings which i neglected to take a photo of.

Top: Zara (really old collection)
Skirt: Bugis Street 2nd floor, Singapore. i'm pretty sure i was scammed on this cause i could've gotten this off gmarket or taobao for less than 30 bucks.
Shoes: Schu, Suntec City, Singapore

After doing these two outfit rundowns i realised that i wear a lot of old clothes. ANYTHING OVER A YEAR OLD IS OLD.

That aside, i finally brought out some clothes from my Nov 2010 Korea trip.

MY 15,000 KRW FAKE-JEANS. Favourite pair even though they technically aren't jeans jeans.

The stitching, detail and colour are so well done they don't even look like fake jeans; as long as no one sees the elasticized waistband.

Once again, fat, short legs are all mine.

I realise that with mirror OOTD (outfit of the day) shots, the poses can get boring and make the clothes boring, so i decided to be innovative.

This is called the 'act-cute-and-get-slapped-by-cat-or-any-pawed-animal' pose. Remember to photoshop a pawprint on your face. It can also be called the 'dog-marking-territory' pose, for obvious reasons. To make everything simpler, we can just call this 'the flamingo'.

The next one can be called the "duckbutt". Basically you stick your bum out and lean forwards, angle your hips to one side and bend one leg. Place the hand that is not wielding the camera behind you if you have no idea where to put it. This pose makes your torso look shorter in comparison to your legs and gives the illusion of longer legs !!11!!1!!!!!!

Ok no i lied, my 10 dolla reject shop mirror makes everyone look tall and skinny.

U MAD?

NOTE OF UTMOST IMPORT :  make sure no one is in the house to see you preening in front of the mirror. Unless you have friends/family who are very understanding of your plight and need for camwhorage.

I'm sorry if my penchant for bad/crude humour is not funny at all. I DON'T CLAIM TO BE A VERY GLAMOROUS AND PROPER PERSON ANYWAY. LOOK AT HOW I ABUSE MY CAPSLOCK BUTTON.

Nonetheless, i'd like to thank you guys for reading and hope that my posts are - at the very least- entertaining.
