I haven't been blogging for a while cause i was burnt out from all the assignments, many apologies for that, but i guess i'm back now, though i do have a presentation and essay due in the next 2 weeks.
If you know me personally, you'd probably have heard of Gmarket from my overzealous raving. But if you don't, Gmarket's basically the equivalent of Taobao, or ebay. If you're looking for reasonably cheap clothes, shoes or accessories, then drop by the site and poke around. Navigation's a little tricky initially because of all the flashing pictures, but you gradually get used to it.
Anyway, i made a some of purchases from there recently with a couple of friends, and thought I'd share them with you guys. So i made a vlog, theSugarholic integrating with the advent of multi platform blogging and whatnot. Unfortunately i have little to no idea of how to edit videos, so until i figure out how to, any vlogs will be of less than amateurish quality.
Though i've only just started a youtube channel, it's SugarholicPING for anyone who wants to subscribe to my nonsense or see whatever videos i favorite and stuff.
Honestly, i wanted to do the entire vlog in a voice pitched higher than my own to match the cutesey pink theme i have going on with the background, but the moment i hit the record button, my mind went blank. That's right, i sound like a man most of the time.
Lately my roommate and i have been eating in a lot, and we've become mildly obsessed with Bibimbap.
1. It's crazy easy to make, just throw in beansprouts, carrots, cucumbers, spinach, mushrooms, a bit of kimchi, and whatever meat you want, along with the sauce and an egg.
2. We both like spicy food. a lot.
So we throw everything into a large bowl, mix and enjoy. It's that simple. Just remember to blanche the beansprouts, carrots, mushrooms, and spinach first. And cook the meat and eggs, unless you prefer them raw.
If you think about it, Bibimbap is probably quite healthy, what with the amount of greens that go in and all. After this half a post about a Korean online shopping site and Korean food, i probably sound like a complete koreaboo. I'm not such a vapid consumer, really, i'm not.
Moving in a completely unrelated direction, I recently went for an interview at Melbourne's bi-monthly maid cafe, Anicafe, and have been asked to go in for a trial in May. Some people have the impression that maid cafes are there for the entertainment of otakus who can't get any, but, really, i think most people who go to maid cafes here are merely curious about the concept and want to experience the atmosphere themselves. It just seems like an interesting job that won't take up that much time, plus, i've been interested in working in a maid cafe for awhile anyway. Hopefully all goes well.
To end this post, a couple more images of the knitted scarf and my pasty skin in sunlight. /sob/. Being pale is fine, but being pasty is just vampirish.
Lastly, to my 23 followers who've materialised out of nowhere, Thank you so much for following and I hope you enjoy my posts!
