Rather late in the game, 3 weeks, to be exact, but here are some picks from Jelly, April issue 2011. Koda Kumi was on the cover, which is what led me to decide to do a short roundup of Jelly instead of Ranzuki/Popteen/Egg.
I love that she's seems so comfortable in her sexuality and isn't stick thin. By not stick thin, i mean, maintaining a decent amount of flesh on her bones unlike some other women in the entertainment business. I understand that it's a cutthroat stage, and you've got to be pretty to stay on top, but sometimes losing too much weight when you already look good instead makes you emanciated, obviously I've started rambling. will continue this after the scans.

The entire Kuu-chan spread cause' she's gorgeous.

little things to note: Oversized sweaters over collared shirts
More oversized sweaters, and floaty ankle length skirts
Slouchy materials and coordinates seem to be particularly popular this spring.
More slouchy coordinates; drapey cardigans, light denim, high cut sneakers.

I honestly don't know about boot-cut jeans making a comeback, it's entirely personal though, cause there was this period in my life where i thought boot-cut jeans made my legs look slimmer. (young and innocent ignorant) I'd wear them all the time and looking back, it's one of those things that you don't want to remember. OTL.

Once again, plenty of oversized tops and shapeless sillhouettes.

Moving on to shoe trends.
Oxfords, Chunky heels, Wedges, Open-toe ankle boots.
Neutral shades like browns, black, grey, white, cream, and several others such as vintage red feature predominantly in the colour range.
Pairing socks with open toe heels also seems to have gotten popular, in addition to socks with pumps.
Nail trends
Geometric or ethnic designs, dull, earthy colours, or the pastel spectrum. There appears to be more focus on the colours and patterns now, rather than 3D decoration.
Makeup
I'm not sure of how to define the makeup in this issue cause it seems to range from Ena Matsumoto's dramatic looks toKana Nishino's dewy, pastel shades. But here are the scans, just for reference.
I think that's all for the short roundup.

Back to what i was talking about above, about celebrities losing too much weight, take SNSD's Tiffany for example, she's been looking so gaunt of late.
What happened to her legs
I always thought she was one of the more decently sized ones out of SNSD, but this time even the netizens concede that she's lost too much weight.

I mean, what was wrong with her image when SNSD first debuted? From what i understand about the idol industry, an appropriate comparison would be like selling handphones, you have to keep upgrading so people will buy the new model. Not sure how long it takes for people to bore of someone's face, but going overboard with the physical alterations to prevent this can't be healthy.
That aside, my taste in clothes seem to be veering from the cutesey popteen styles lately. Much as i love light colours and cute coordinates, I can't help but second guess myself sometimes because I'm not small sized. When Popteen models wear tiny skirts or large fluffy tops, I try to imagine myself wearing their coordinates and it's like the michelin man trying to fit itself in between the spokes of a bicycle tire.
Now this post will end abruptly on that note.
