MSS #5

1.Chajatta;Found you - JYJ

From the SunKyungKwan Scandal OST. THIS SONG IS MY JAM OK, DOESN'T EVEN MATTER THAT I HATED JYJ'S AYYYY GIRL(HOW MANY 'Y'S WERE THERE ANYWAY). Perfect song for a perfect drama. While the storyline is reminiscent of Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai 梁山伯与祝英台, it was executed in a way that made it stand out from the usual korean period dramas. Think of it as Hong Gil Dong improved 200%.

2. VVIP - Seungri, Big Bang

Big Bang's maknae (youngest member ) Seungri is back with unimaginable amounts of douchery. Strangely the song is addictive and extremely catchy. T.O.P still remains my main bias in Big Bang though.

On a related note BIGBANG'S COMEBACK IS THIS THURSDAY I CANNOT WAIT.

3. Superstar - Koda Kumi

One of my favourite Kuu-chan songs. Definitely not her usual style, but i love her agejo coordinate at the end.

4. Lick Me - Koda Kumi

I'm going through a slight Kuu-chan revival at the moment, and almost everything about this MV is adorable, especially the outfits. It just seems like an extreme crossbreed of the agejo style and the recent retro revival.

5. Infinity - Girl Next Door

The opening theme to Atashinchi no Danshi, a jdrama i watched in 2009 starring Horikita Maki, Kaname Jun, Okada Yoshinori,Mukai Osamu, Seto Koji,Yamamoto Yusuke and Okayama Tomoki. Super cute, if not extremely unrealistic. But that's the charm of Dramas i guess.

That's all for MSS #5.

I'll be fluttering back to Melbourne on the 25th, so i guess this mean less time lounging around the house in a sleeveless top with shorts and more outfit snapshots.

Post unicorn vomit dousing; i.e Decoden.

This is a terrible photo, but my camera ran out of battery immediately after snapping it, and i'm too much of a sloth to reach for the charger next to my table to charge the battery.

So i wanted to go for a more sophisticated look this time, with the metals and the ceremic centrepiece, but it ended up looking like a pile of cabochons (the things there that aren't crystals) decided to have a wild party. Expectations VS Reality?

Instead of gluing the crystals (Swarovski ok. Acrylic, as usual is not glittery enough.) directly on my phone, or on a plastic sticky sheet that goes on the phone, i paste the crystals and cabochons on a seperate silicone cover so if anything goes wrong, it won't damage the phone surface.

Honestly, there wasn't any inspiration for this piece, just the singular thought "this thing better be glittery enough to blind people better than pepper spray". Obviously that hasn't quite gotten through, but I guess it'll do.

I try to use different pieces everytime i embark on a new project, but my brain seems to be biased towards pink and silver crystals.

USS (enterprise); Universal Studios Singapore picspam.

So, even though i live in Singapore and all, last saturday was the first time I visited Universal Studios.

It was kind of a big deal cause i've never actually been to any other Universal Studios (US, Japan) before. imma loserrrrrr.

Due to burgeoning crowds stampeding their way in, there's a limit to how many people can enter USS, so we had to make prior bookings online. Yeah well, of course i didn't go alone. That would've been extremely sad and even my lacklustre social life would've wept at that pathetic display.

eheheh UNIVERSAL STUDIOS GLOBE. I AM SO EXCITE.

Ignore the rather tacky (and faded) Chinese New Year decorations; or at least that's what i hope the not-quite-red drapings on the pillars are.

So-Artsy-can-die photo. *pretentious poodle*

Stopped by the Steven Spielberg special effects room attraction cause a park attendant was yelling last calls. Basically they re-enact a hurricane scene in the special effects room, complete with water and building destruction. VERY EXCITING STUFF. Though i must admit, the walls floating off made me laugh. Other than that the fire, the unexpected splash of water, and THE BLOODY TITANIC (k, no it wasn't the Titanic, it was a random ship, crashing through the wall).

Then we rushed off to the Mummy indoor roller coaster ride. At this point i think i need to confess that i'm terrified of roller coasters like, idek, like, ants are scared of being squished.  But it must've been adrenaline that made me run in like a madman (OMYGAH, FIRST RIDE OF THE DAAAAY) only to realise halfway into the building that i was heading to a roller coaster.
MOMENT OF REALIZATION:

WHAT DID YOU JUST DO, SELF.

ahem, anyway, I clambered aboard and took it like a man. A screaming profanity spewing man. THE ROLLER COASTER WENT BACKWARDS, I'M JUSTIFIED, WHO DOES THAT ANYWAY.

MASSIVE ANUBIS STATUES IN 'EGYPT'. They really went all out in constructing this place.

JURASSIC PARK! As a child i was very interested in dinosaurs, The Lost World, Land Before Time, ANYTHING DINOSAUR RELATED. *was a weird kid*. W/e the jurassic park ride here was a personal favourite cause there weren't any dramatic drops, and i brought a poncho. trololo.

Distant view of Far Far Away, I WANT A CASTLE.

TRY TO TAKE AN UPNOSE SHOT BETTER THAN THIS ONE. K upnose shots probably work only because my nose is tiny and flat.

I'm actually 5 years old, so dino nuggets are very appealing.

very appealing.

So is this slushy in a potion bottle.

Obviously, while my chest isn't very impressive, by Liz Lisa standards, it's massive, and MY BOOBS LOOK WEIRD IN THIS LIZ LISA TOP, AGH. *SOB*. Frightening realisation to make after a day of walking around in it feeling all gorgeous and fab.

SO I GUESS THAT'S ALL FOR THIS POST? idek what i'm saying anymore.

Embracing my singlehood with shopping and not having to spend money buying things for other people.

Woah, long title.

Well, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, and instead of being bitter (i;m disturbingly not-bothered by this, actually.) about my barren love life, I WILL GIVE YOU ALL MY LOVE; by tearing myself away from watching Sunkyungkwan Scandal and ACTUALLY POSTING SOMETHING.

I've been shopping quite a bit and i suppose this would be a spoils post?
yeah.

First up, Uniqlo UT BigBang collab T-shirt!

Managed to snag it the day it arrived in Singapore. From what i've heard, that was the first stock and there was a second shipping last friday that was the last of this collection. THE COLOURS ARE SO MUCH LOVE. I'll try to work this into a casual coordinate somehow. Along with the other one my friend helped me buy.

Next, OPIxKaty Perry 'Last Friday Night' nail polish.

I actually have 'Teenage Dream' from the same collection, but i forgot to snap a photo. Both colours are pretty and will turn your nails into discoballs, but the colour's quite sheer so they'd be good as topcoats or you'd have to paint 2 layers for the colour to appear stronger.
Rayban Roy & Bon Sunglasses.

A good friend picked this up for me in Shanghai, evidently my penchant for pink will now encompass the posession and wearing of pink douchey shades. BEWARE, WORLD. I WILL WEAR THE CRAP OUT OF THIS SHIT AND DROWN YOU ALL IN DOUCHEBAGGERY

Beverly Feldman Leopard Print Wedges.

I love it when Beverly Feldman has sales, the shoe prices almost always go down 50%

What attracted me to this pair was 1. the leopard print, 2. the textured wedge. It isn't printed on or embossed, the strips of material (PVC?) are actually woven together.

Shoes from Korea and brandless skirt from Bugis Street

These shoes are everywhere in Korea, it's like every single Korean girl owns a pair of these boots. Well, they're quite versatile i suppose.  And i bought the skirt cause i liked the hem and the material.

Lastly, GUYS, GUESS WHAT I HAVE.

JUICY COUTURE JUMPSUIT OK. IN PINK TOO, NOW I CAN BE A FULLY FLEDGED BIMBO/

LOOK AT THAT PRINT OMG.

WILL BE WEARING THIS BACK TO MELBOURNE TO MATCH MY LUGGAGE. TROLOLO.

And that's all for my recent purchases, there're actually more, just tucked away in my returning baggage, most likely.

Hope everyone has a splendid Valentines day with their loved ones, because it's not all about spending 12803891109301921 bucks on 99 roses that'll die in a week.

This post hasn't been proofread, so any mistakes, just pop a comment in the box below, or i'll correct the mistakes tomorrow. hahah.

MAGAZINE SNAPS (Jelly;02/2011, Popteen 03/2011) and some rambling.

PROOF THAT I DO BUY MAGAZINES.

yeah, but no i just didn't download these issues (Jelly, 02/2011 & Popteen 03/2011).

I've done something simpler this time, with the magazines, and just picked out several outfit sections that i liked.

This was my first time getting Jelly actually, Kana Nishino made me do it. Not regretting this decision anytime soon though. Jelly's very substantial on the trend and outfit front. I love how they classified some of the upcoming trends (Ojicasual, Blogger, Mix and Match, French, etc).

I was rather baffled by the Blogger casual style, it makes no sense if you take it literally. If i'm right to assume most bloggers blog from the comfort of their homes and equally comfortable home attire. Of course they're probably referring to fashion bloggers, or blogging, that's been taking off quite well in Japan; then again most fashion bloggers have their own sense of style so how do you define a Blogger casual style?

Either way, the style they've presented is one of my preferred intepretations of blogger-wear(i.e fuss free) and  I LOVE IT. Can i abandon my Popteen clothes and just run here please, omg. I feel that my liking for this style stems from my interest in korean pop culture, y'know with the ulzzangs/kpop idols and all.

Loose tops, hats, and flyaway hair contribute most to the laidback aura of this look. Loose tops also can hide all my wrong curves. I LIEK. GIMME.

The blogger casual outfits are quite appealing; they're casual, yet retain more dressy elements as compared to casual casual outfits.

I APPROVE GREATLY (not because i'm a lazy slob) 8D

WELL, OBVIOUSLY, GOING BY THE DIRECTION TOPSHOP, ZARA AND NEWLOOK ARE HEADING IN; RETRO IS BACK. Topshop, Zara and Newlook because those are stores i frequent in town (read: orchard road, i.e. limited choices). Look at the peter-pan collars, colours, and waistline cuts! LOVELOVELOVE. Also, those oxfords and espadrilles are so rustic. (totally not hipster. i insist that espadrilles are not hipster.)

random pick of the day; sadly, i am unfortunately shaped and any attempts to wear skinny jeans results in my resemblance to a turnip. This is such a well executed casual outfit though.

I wish to obtain her hat. It is big, floppy, and LEOPARD PRINT. Ugh time to go hat scouting in Bugis Street or Far East.

Popteen 03/ 2011

Emoda section. Occasionally i find myself bored of the constant consecutive saccharine sweet coordinates plastered on almost every page and inch of Popteen, so this section was a welcome break amongst all the tooth-rotting cuteness.

Loving the holey knitted pullover on the right. I don't even know why. Don't really fancy this season's mode makeup though, never was a fan of orange blusher, idek.

The ultra-high waist (ribcage?) skirt on the top right is gorgeous, one of my favourites from this set. Accessories this season don't differ very much from last season's emoda pieces, except the head scarves aren't printed this time round. Seems like they're going for an overall minimalistic look, with the exception of a singular statement piece this season. Also, Ilyana, correct me if i'm mistaken but, those rings on the bottom left look right up your alley.

I've recently started liking Mizukitty a lot more, i don't even know why. That aside, the large fluffy animal carcass on her head is waaaaaay too big. White fluffy hats are adorable when they don't look like giant roadkill. Seriously.

That's all for today's entry. I'm sorting out photos from Chinese New Year and some recent buys for posting purposes, they should be up soonish, seeing as i don't have work now.
