Circle lens review : Barbie King Size Circle Pink & Dolly Brown

Firstly, this isn't a paid review (hah, i wish), it's just for anyone who wants to order either pair of these lenses to read a user-review and see what they look like.

I'll be reviewing the Dolly Brown lenses and Barbie King Size Circle Pink lenses from Pinkyparadise.

So, i'm a little neurotic when it comes to shipping in an are-we-there-yet way, but they shipped pretty fast. The lenses arrived in about a week and a half, and they managed to switch the address even after a mix-up. PinkyParadise always sends their lenses with a lens case. This time i got a pink (somewhat unidentifiable) goldfish and blue elephants, but i'm using a pink frog one that i got previously,  but never used.

Dolly Brown

I chose this pair cause they were 14.5mm, smaller than my previous brown ones that were 15.5mm. After wearing them for the entire day, i didn't need eyedrops, and they felt like they weren't there at all.

Comparison pictures:

2. with flash
3. no lenses

K, so they're a little big for my tiny mole eyes, nothing some makeup wouldn't solve. Though after wearing these, whenever i smile i worry about looking like this:

um, yeah, just the eyes, Ruby circa Supernatural season 3 and 4 is fabulous. Ahahah, anyway, the colour's really natural and blended in with my pupil, so that's a plus point. Other than in the picture with flash, where you can actually see the flower pattern.

Barbie King Size Circle Pink

The one i've been waiting to do for a long time. Initially i was apprehensive about pink lenses, cause, well, yeah, pink lenses. pink. Then i thought, Xiaxue's gone for pink lenses, so does Ekimura, so why not?

As you can see, the colour is solid pale pink and definitely not as translucent as the DollyBrown pair. The bolded black ring also adds to the enlarging effect.

In terms of enlargement, i'd say DollyBrown does it better, but this is still good. Haven't worn them for an entire day yet, so i can't say anything about comfort, but they're the same brand as my previous brown ones, so i don't expect much difference in terms of comfort. Unless the diameter has major effects on the comfort factor, which isn't really likely IMO. Will try them for a day tomorrow and see how it goes.

The colour isn't a very obvious pink, in fact, it looks a little lilac at times, might be because my eyes are naturally very dark, so it cancels out the pinkness (nooooooo!).

MASSIVE-SPONTANEOUS-SLAP-ON-MAKEUP-AND-SELCA SESSION.

As in, literally slap on makeup. I did this within the span of 15 minutes, which explains why my blusher looks like someone took 2 tomatoes and smashed them up against my face or something.

HAHAH, SHIT MY SMILE LOOKS THE SAME IN ALL THE SHOTS. FAIL MAXIMUM.

Sunlight tends to eat my face every time i take photos, but you can see that the pink lenses are intensely light coloured. The colour can even be seen under lousy indoor lighting.

I really like these lenses, but cannot be arsed to wear them everyday which should prolong their shelf life a little. They're meant to be yearlies, but don't you think using the same pair of lenses for more than 6 months is really squicky? I mean, you can clean all you like, but there has to be some pileup that we can't see. Some people reccommend not to use them for an entire year, and i second that opinion, especially if you're wearing them everyday. If you aren't wearing them everyday, it should be fine.

That's all for now~! Will try to update again soon!

(sorry SNSD, Tiffany antis. I just think she's really pretty and it doesn't matter how many surgeries she's had.)

BIG LIKE XBOX DISTRIC 9 PRAWN EYES.

Actually, no, just circle lenses.

Just ordered in 2 pairs of circle lenses cause my old ones expired. For some reason they're more comfortable than normal clear contacts.

People like to go OMFGXZXZXZ COLOURED CONTACTS BAD FOR YOUR EYES. DANGEROUSSS. I don't think it's dangerous if you aren't wearing them every day. They're only dangerous if you don't clean them properly, or if they don't fit in the first place and you force yourself to wear them anyway. Otherwise, i haven't encountered any problems after wearing them for about a year.

My advice would be to clean them like there's no tomorrow, wear them for no longer than 8 hours, and use them for a maximum of 10 months, then dump the pair and get new ones. If you use the same pair too long and don't clean them properly, the protein builds up and may cause infections and a host of other problems.

Most korean and japanese brands of circle lenses are yearlies, but seriously, dump them in 10 months.
It's not worth risking your eyes for that 40 bucks you want to save for a couple of months before buying a new pair. If you're going to spend the money anyway, what difference does a couple of months make?

I love circle lenses. Mainly because they're more comfortable than my prescription ones for some strange reason. And, well, i have tiny, naked mole rat eyes. Even prescription lenses are too big for my pupils.

eyes without lenses. WTF RANDOM ZIT (@*$)#*@(2*&$

with Barbie King Size Circle Lens on.

Am super wtf-ed at the lens names "Barbie King Size" sounds like one of those demonic life-sized baby dolls, or barbie busts they sell at toy stores for little girls to give hairstyling/makeup a shot. NOT COOL. The worst would be the bratz heads.

She looks like a crackwhore on high or something, look at those hanging eyes wtf. Nightmare fuel much? Lay off the fillers, lady. Those lips look like they've been stung by an entire nest of hornets. OTL. And, am i the only one who finds the texture difference between the head and body disturbing? Matte head and shiny body-urgh.

K the next pair isn't yearly, but they're considered circle lenses too. Blue, if you can't really see them in the photo.

So much bigger than my naked mole rat eyes please. And this pair isn't even 15 mm, it was about 14+ if i remember correctly.

Ordered the lenses from PinkyParadise again, since i ordered my previous pair from them and they're pretty trustworthy and all.
