Leather and lace (or lack of thereof)

Realised that i'd clean forgotten to post photos of my weekly nail art. So here, have the lazy person's nail art solution.

Couldn't be arsed and didn't have much time to pick up the brush and paint some proper designs, so i just cut up some black lace, painted a metallic pink/purple shade on, and stuck the lace onto my nails after the second coat of colour went on. Then painted 2 layers of top coat.

Vaguely inspired by a line from Adam Lambert's Surefire Winners; "My baby clothes made of leather and lace". Couldn't find random bits of PVC lying around in my sewing kit, so lace it was. Total cop-out in terms of design cause, well, the lace already gives it variety. hahah.

I cannot believe i'm sitting here typing this while missing the Adam Lambert concert 30 minutes away.

In light of the muted (read: boring) autumn colours, and the ridiculously cold weather (you call this spring?!), I'm bringing out this pair of monotone leopard print leggings again. Haven't used them since winter, but they seem to gel well with all the autumn trends i've seen in magazine scans.

On a side note, i'm doing something with those ankle boots cause they're looking very dull at the moment. I'll try to finish up and post pictures during the weekend, but no promises. Assignments precede handicrafts.

On yet another completely random note, i can't believe i've never notices how gorgeous Kana Hoshino is. I think i need to update my favourite gyaru list soon.

Speaking of gyaru/Popteen/Popsister models,  i don't know if it's just me, but the more i look at Komori Jun, the more she looks like JongHyun from Shinee.

They could be twins. Or siblings.

Oh, and i'm experimenting with headers at the moment, so er, try to ignore the crappy thing at the top. I've never actually learned how to use photoshop, so everything i know was garnered from trial and error.

A complete layout revamp is planned for the holidays, in less than a month. So excited to go home, but the amount of work i have to complete before then is dreadful.

Once again, i'd like to thank you readers muchly for sticking around!~

Nail art, and annoying neighbours.

Hello! Back again, as promised.

I don't have classes on fridays, it's a Melb uni arts student thing. Typically, if you're a student doing arts in melbourne university, you'll have fridays free. Doesn't exactly apply to everyone though.

Anyway, yeah, before i get too wordsy. I was incredibly free today so i changed my nail art. Though my equipment for nail art is limited to say the least, i try changing it every week. Supplies for 3D art are really expensive here though, i may or may not get some back in Singapore.

So, about the nails that will leave me incapable of functioning for the next week or so:

Here's a photo.

Didn't push my cuticles back cause (i was scared) i didn't have cuticle cream and/or a cuticle pusher.

Stole the design out of Octobers Popteen, not entirely though. and i had to substitute some crystals with flatback pearls cause the actual crystals i had were too big. As for the ribbons, they're made out of lace and, er, glue.

Wanted to drop by a nail salon in chinatown to get gel nail extensions, but i simply cannot imagine functioning properly with those on so natural nails it is. Might get them for chinese new year though. Keyword, might.

One day i want to be able to flaunt nails like those. These are Sakurina's nails as of September. Sometimes i think her nails are far too blingy, but they're fabulous, so screw conventions. As far as nails are concerned, bling's the way to go.

On a seperate note, living next to compulsive partiers is starting to get on my nerves. I may leave my music on for most of the day, but it isn't loud at all. When they throw a party, which is at least once a week, a shocking cacophany of what sounds suspiciously like chickens and llamas being slaughtered permeates the walls. The room starts quivering from the volume, and i mean that literally. Then again, it might be the incessant slamming of doors and possible jumping on beds that's making those thumps in the night. My point is, the student apartments where i stay have thin walls.  I wish people would extend the same courtesies they're given.

Sometimes i want to march over and do this:

Especially when they're creating a racket during essay rush periods.

Will stop ranting now. ahahah.

P.S. Tell me if the gifs are annoying. I'm so fascinated with them for some inexplicable reason and even think of ways to incorporate them into my posts.

Kay, thanks for reading, and i'll try to update often, so stay tuned~!
